Snackspiration series: Chocolate protein balls

These 4 ingredient wonders are great for an afternoon pick me up, a pre workout boost or a post workout refuel.

Ingredients:

50g dates (soaked in 100 mls warm water for an hour or so)

2 scoops of chocolate protein powder (I used Sci-Mx Vegan)

25g oats

5g chia seeds

Optional extras: chopped nuts, seeds, dried fruit, choc chips

Method:

Once the dates have soaked to soften, blend them with the oats and chia seeds. Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Add in the protein powder, stirring to allow it to bind. The mixture should be firm but slightly sticky. If it is too wet, add in more protein powder or oats; if it is too dry add a little water or milk. Roll the mixture into 6 balls and pop in the fridge to set.

Macros per ball: 9g Carbs, 6g Protein <1g Fat
