With the warmer weather, it's nice to mix up breakfast with a refreshing smoothie bowl.
It's a great choice post workout as it's packed with protein and carbs to start the recovery process and restore muscle glycogen. It's also just a delicious breakfast idea in general and you can easily get 2 or 3 of your 5 a day, as well as essential micronutrients, fibre and healthy fats- depending on your toppings!
Method:
In a food processor, Nutri-bullet or similar simply blend together
60-100g frozen berries
A scoop of protein - I use Sci-mx vanilla v-gain
50g of yoghurt- I use Alpro soy yoghurt but Greek, coconut, cashew or almond will work!
1tsp flaxseed
150-200mls milk- plant based or diary depending on your nutritional preferences.
Adjust the liquid volume depending how thick you want it, which may depend on the type of protein powder you use!
I topped mine with extra giant blueberries, chia seeds and a sprinkling of homemade granola.

Try adding banana, maca powder, spirulina or wheatgrass for a superfood boost. Create a tropical combo using frozen mango and pineapple.

Mix up your toppings with nut butters, seeds, dried fruit or sprinkling of cinnamon, ginger or nutmeg!

So get creative and have a good at creating a tasty, refreshing and nutritious brekkie!
And of course, get your Instagram worthy shot!
